The Feldenkrais Method is a type of movement therapy. Originally published April 2023

Engage the body

Refresh the mind with ideas

'stead of work and stress

Engaging with art

Helps you keep your health in check

Your body and mind

First, ridiculous

Then, the relaxation came

Pain in my sides fade

Slowly spreading off

Body starting to feel light

Back touches the floor

Forcing my hand to

Un-relax itself to hold

the pencil and write

Mind is not at all

'ver the place any longer

Relax in one spot

Posture feels better

Straighter and less 'shrimpier'

I feel taller now

My breaths are longer

Not as heavy anymore

Finally at ease

Still feel the burden

I had hoped it would have stopped

But it remains there

The burden lessened

If I keep thinking of it

becomes more aware

At the end I did

feel the negativity

come down upon me

Expansions, that song

Hear it on the radio

Orange, yellow, sand

That was the cover

I had the wrong song in mind

But the point still stands

Gesturing left hand

Placed carefully on the chest

Easing to and fro

Circular motions

Carving and rubbing a hole

over the itches

Fade, Fade, go away

Heavy scars from my torso

Leave from my shoulders

I feel I am light But a mere leaf in the wind

Corporal form's gone
