Hi! I'm Joseph, and welcome to my website, serving as a portfolio for all the work I create.
I write, I shoot photos and film, and I create art. As I am continously learning and growing in these crafts, I value thoughtful responses and fresh perspectives.

Writing
I've enjoyed telling and writing stories since i was a child. Sounds cliche, but it's true. I've always had a wild and overactive imagination and fortunatly I still do. My head is filled with oodles of stories, characters and the worlds they inhibit. I hope I can get them all out before I die.

There's something so satisfying about writing and putting the words on paper. I've got (literal) drawers full of papers and files of my writings.

Writing for me is an urge. A catharsis. A must. I'd go crazy if I couldn't write. Truly. You will never not find me without my pencil and paper

Artistry
Along with a vivid imagination I'm also a big visual thinker, in everything. There's imagery and colour in everything I see, I hear, I do and I dream. And I must represent them all on the paper, on the canvas. I must show people the world I see. the beauty of the world I see within me claws at the body to come out.

I pray I can manifest and create all within me, as it is my biggest fear to leave any seed of an idea unsprouted.

I do painting, pencil drawings, digital pieces and whatever other crafty ideas come to me (I've made one or two clay pieces for example, but also made works purely out of trash and nothing else.)
Camera Work
What happens when you give someone with that vivid imagination, a knack for storytelling and only able to think in visual imagery a camera? Films and photography happen!

I'm currently completely self-taught when it comes to camera work, but as I shoot more pictures and films, that good technique is slowly addint itself to my skillset.
​
Just like my pen, paper, and sketchbook, my camera goes wherever I go!
